  good grief.

  had to stop at the end of the song (about 30 minutes in), with much forwarding.

  so far it’s been a half hour about anxiety and worry and burdens - heavy, boring, depressingly blah (nothing new there), with the magic jah making everything better.

So far it’s been a half hour about anxiety and worry and burdens - heavy, boring, depressingly blah (nothing new there), with the magic Jah making everything better. And a heavy emphasis for unburdening yourself to others.

  And then we get to a professionally recorded version of a song, somewhere around 5 minutes song (much longer than a kingdom song of praise to the grand pooba!) about take good care, pray to Jehovah, you’re not alone, he’s always there, blah blah.

  But you know, somebody had to take some music lessons somewhere along the way or had to pursue a talent to this degree. Is that putting the kingdom first? How would that be viewed by others - using valuable kingdom resources (one’s own money) to perhaps pay for music lessons and investing all that time in music practice?

  (Jut like becoming a doctor or such... tsk, tsk! - oh, but maybe it’s okay if you can be a doctor at Bethel, but nowhere else! God forbid you might have to do something for a *worldly* person!)

  They are so hypocritical they make me sick!!

  It’s disgusting what the Organization does in “God’s name”!! I could feel so much of your pain and bewilderment as I read your heartfelt, honest, candid words.

  Do you know, I really think a movie producer somewhere should get their hands on your book, it would make a fascinating movie, or even series! You have produced gold here, dear Mr. Keith Casarona.

  It is said that “truth is stranger than fiction” and this would make a great “based on a true story” drama and exposé that should be told.

  I am serious, please consider this!

  Like Leah Remini and her Scientology series, this would make a fascinating account of what goes on behind closed doors in the hidden world of JWs and their leadership and lifestyle.

  Thank you for putting pen to paper and recording this. Your memory (or journal keeping?) is impeccable.

  Amazing work. It really is a peek inside “the most holy of the holies” and so much more.

  lets see: thought wt says they have no special connection to god, nor special knowledge, they get no extra holy spirit, gods thoughts higher than mans???

  I wish that when he does these hall blitzes or whatever he calls then, he would also mention something about the WT secretly joining up with the United Nations for 10 YEARS. And that WT has also secretly, paid out MILLIONS of dollars toward private settlements of child sexual abuse cases in their congregations over the years.

  And yes, I also noticed the extreme obesity of many of the members of this congregation. Some rather hefty fellows there. Many grey heads.

  Guided Meditations (Akashic Records)

  i have listened to a couple of these in the past with varying degrees of sucess.

  one tape, many years ago, left me with memories of that i still have and can remember clearly today.. i decided to try one today that was a guided trip to the "akashic records".... i unplugged the phoneswitched off my mobilelaid on my bedheadphones onrelaxed...what happened next ?.

  well the tape "took" me to egypt, to the pyramids... then to the "great pyramid".. what popped into my mind next ?.

  The WT is so despicable... so accountable for all this by their policies and man-made decrees... they “weigh out the tenth of the mint & the dill & the cumin but forget the weightier measures of the law, namely love, kindness, and compassion...”

  When you were an active JW, did you ever have dealings with a pyramid scheme?

  i'm not sure why this memory popped up, and i was wondering if any others, when they were still active jw had dealings with a pyramid scheme involving other witnesses in the organization?

  at the time it was 1993, and my husband and i were still newlyweds.

  once in a while, we would attend a neighboring congregation because that was where he grew up, and some of his family was still attending there at the time.

  YES! Omg, it was one of the things that actually helped to start waking me up.
  
  We got involved in "Melaleuca", and started going to some of their meetings, and lo and behold, would you believe, that many of their meetings were SIMILAR to the JW meetings!
  
  The same "sales pitches" and demonstrations, examples of how to "cold call", make placements / leave samples, find out what your customer is interested in, notice if they have kids, etc., keep track of your "magazines" (sales brochures, product info sheets), then praise and applaud your high sellers....
  
  Oh my god. It was spookily, eerily similar. At the time I tried to reason that "Satan hides things in plain sight, he will make the truth look like other things, or make other things look like the truth, blah blah blah...." and that all others were most likely copying the JWs for their best-est and most wonderful-est ways of doing everything.
